The Industrial Mathematics Students’ Association (IMSA) is a society dedicated to enhance the knowledge and practical applications of mathematics among its members. Collaborating with industry, IMSA focuses on promoting industrial mathematics and its relevance in real-world problem-solving. This association provides a platform for mathematics undergraduates of the Faculty to connect, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. By actively engaging undergraduates, IMSA contributes in bridging the gap between academia and industry, equipping its members for successful careers in industrial mathematics and related fields. Additionally, IMSA is committed to disseminate mathematics knowledge to the general public by organizing various activities to support mathematics learners, including school children.

“Sipsayura” is an impactful educational program organized by the IMSA to support O/L students studying in rural schools. The core objective of this program is to prepare and equip students for the O/L Mathematics examination. The program achieves this by engaging students in insightful discussions around model papers and providing them with the necessary motivation to excel in their examinations.

On 11th April 2023, the IMSA hosted its eagerly awaited second Chess Fiesta. The event was held on the popular Lichess online platform and featured an exhilarating 7-round Swiss tournament with a rapid time control of 10 minutes plus a 0-second increment.
